the thought crossed my mind...good for winter maybe?

im 30/70 on this, one side i think its a cool/unique idea and on the other i think its the dumbest fucking concept...just remove the top, thats why its there. im all for custom stuff but i can only imagine how weak that top is now...and if he braced it like he shouldve id guess theres nothing left of the headliner.

I feel your pain. My buddies 87 won't run right cause he doesn't have a decent unmolested wiring harness

This harness is in pretty damn good shape. Reminds me of my old n/a harness which never gave me any trouble.

Mine is just all shitty around the water neck. All sorts of codes. Plus, 13 mpg and MAYBE 200 horsepower lol

When we got his to run it barely idled and was running really rich. Not its not getting any fuel. He thinks we may have missed a few things when wiring in a few new plugs

Sounds like mine. Just worse. Occasionally it will idle like it has some big ass cams in it. Sounds kinda cool actually.

I've noticed mine has been acting weird at idle at times it would lope for a bit then go back to being smooth. The other day my car would not even idle at all, after I pulled out of my drive way I got to a stop sign and put it in neutral and the car stalled, I started it back up and kept driving got to another stop sign same thing happened then it happened one more time before it was idling normally. Any ideas on what would cause that? Earlier that day I found 2 vac lines right below the intake manifold that came unplugged they were connected to that little red air release module that has a black circle piece on the end of it but it should fix the problem since I reconnected and secured them, so I don't think that was the cause.

The behavior you described sounds very much like a vacuum leak somewhere. Did you do a vacuum test after you reconnected those loose lines?

I was having a similar issue and my mechanic discovered that the power steering idle up sensor was leaking vacuum. The part was expensive so they just capped it off and I have been trouble free since. (Definitely want to replace that sensor soon, I don't like driving hacked.)

No I haven't done a vacuum leak test I think I do have a vac leak somewhere but I replaced every vacuum line I saw at one point but they might need to be secured down now that I think about it. I will go over the lines again and check them all out and ziptie them down, hate vacuum lines lol. How do I do a vacuum test exactly?

Why does everyone have the OEM shifter without the leather wrap? I tried buying a new OEM shifter, $170+ at the dealer, and I don't think it has the leather wrap on it.

Not sure, I found the knob and the boot wedged under the rear seat. Unfortunately the boot was severely damaged. Looked like someone just cut it off.
