I got this earlier in the week, but snapped this pic today. Came with downpipe and screamer pipe.

Pulled out the carpet up front to replace it with black. Found $1.57 in change and a lot of screws and fuses.

Also found this weird mount screwed to the floor under the carpet, had actual threaded inserts in the screw holes as well (car phone?)

And has anybody else who changed their carpet kept the vents for the back seats? They are pretty useless for me (no back seat) but I don't want the carpet laying funny where they are supposed to be...?

Quick question on replacing the trunk hatch weather stripping, do you need to put some silicone under the strip or just put the strip on and be done with it?

Noice :D

Unless you plan on blocking the vents at the dash end to stop heat going under there, I wouldn't think that 35deg heat going under the carpets and not escaping would be a good thing :p

35deg is pretty cold ;) but no I'm talking about pulling the vent from under the dash and blocking it off under the dash, would that leave big floppy spots on either side of the trans tunnel?

I shoulda mentioned 35d celcius :p

I would probably get some of that carpet undermatting stuff and attach it to the sides because the carpet won't probably reach the chassis properly so it'll be a lil puffy, when I removed all my undercarpet matting from mass leaks I had the carpet doesn't quite reach the floor and stuff anymore because the carpet is technically too short/not deep enough.

Test run it :p unclip em and wack the carpet back down xD

That's a good idea for a nice cheap lip. Someone was giving away a crap ton of that stuff for free on craigslist last week. Should have picked some up!

I just installed my wiper arms and cowl that I painted a few days ago. They look amazing. I'll post a thread later with some pics and info on the paint I used for anyone that is wondering.

since im still waiting on trans parts i decided to replace my front bumpers with the used set ive had laying around for more than a year. got everything removed and found my stock intercooler fins 80% folded over at the end so i spent most of my time dealing with that...(btw i didnt do it in thoughts of more horsepower but a LOT more airflow to my rad) also found one of the pipes on it looked like the underside of a lawn mower, im sure it was boost leaking i just dont know how bad, but i think ill feel an improvement on this fix alone.

after all that was done i decided to pull the headlights (ive modded my original assemblies to be lazy eye and projectors but no highbeams at the time) i had went back to factory original assemblies for inspection time and never swapped back to my hid's.

now that i have everything removed i plan to paint my core support black because of how dirty ive gotten it working on it all the time and im also going to rust inhibitor paint the metal bumpers.

ill post pics when i get it all done.

Changed my trunk seal it was a bitch to keep it all in place I had to put some 3m adhesive and let it dry enough for each side and asked my dad to help hold the top right corner while I put the other side in place and let the adhesive dry enough to close the hatch. Hopefully the hatch pushed it in place to let the adhesive cure properly. Hopefully this will also fix my leak and hatch squeak. I am debating on replacing my tail light gaskets too but it's too damn hot outside, damn Texas summers.

EDIT: Just remembered I could go in the car and check if the seal was sitting right lol and it is WOOO

No more trunk rattle squeak after replacing the weather stripping and while I was checking my oil I saw that my boost controller had one hose that popped off, so I removed the intake and turbo intake hoses and ziptied everything then turned up the boost a little bit then took her for a test drive. Man she hauls ass now and love hearing that spool and blow off valve I gave a kid riding his bike some turbo love too.

Yeah the fronts are a bit tough until you figure out you can just pull that big ol' bolt that holds the upper A-arm in. Then it gets really easy. Drivers side took me 3.5 hours. Passenger took me 45 minutes lol.

I replaced my radiator cap. The one that was on there was a motorcraft (really PO?) 16 pound cap. replaced with a 13 pound cap and now my temp gauge goes higher than 4 tick marks. Also took apart my passenger side window switch and cleaned the contacts up. Put it back together and it works but I have to press the button a few times before it will go up or down. I have a feeling its a problem with the driver side switch being dirty since the switch on the driver side will does not work for the passenger window. Went to take that apart but gave up cause I couldn't figure it out and didn't want to break anything. Going to pull off my cluster and replace a burnt out bulb on my oil pressure gauge now

Put my new eibach springs/tokico shocks in the rear today. Gonna tackle the fronts tomorrow hopefully! That and Im starting to really save up for an engine swap. Really leaning towards the 1jz since thats what our cars could come with in Japan. Kinda keeps the stock nostalgia to it while enabling it to have a stupid amount of horse power ;)
