sorry, I don't take pics while driving... i took the car out for a spin since It's been sitting for a week (don't like to let my cars sit) although it has no tags and no exhaust... no big deal. got her nice and warm and hit it hard since it's cold as hell out (had to see what she's got) turns out my car wanted to eat my clutch for dinner. I'm guessing it's a tired pressure plate, but running stock boost on a stock 7mgte (bored and ported) w/ 2.5" DP it was pulling hard as shit. I know for sure the diff works, so I'd know if the tires were spinning... most slip was in 2nd around 4,000rpm and a hair in third :( I was hoping I'd be able to get by without replacing the clutch till a turbo/fuel/ecu upgrade, but I havn't even put my 3" DP on or turned the boost up any :( I've pulled the inspection plate and have verified it's a OE clutch

A couple goodies came in this week I got a replacement resistor module for the A/C fan speeds and this little beauty. Now I just need to order the OEM service port valves and I can get my system diagnosed/inspected.

I am thinking about replacing my compressor as well I still need to order a new dryer and thinking about replacing the expansion valve too for better flow.

Oil change, new brakes, coils soon! Stripped the trunk down to eliminate sound deadening and found a nice huge hole where the spare should be. Thanks PO! lol. Patch weld and rustproofing before long.

I got most of my parts from Rockauto they have great prices and OEM parts much like Driftmotion. I haven't bought the dryer, evap core, or the expansion valve I've only bought the seals and condenser as far as real A/C parts go I also got the fan speed resistor module that I just installed and tested. I am going to get the dryer and expansion valve but I am thinking about getting the compressor too I mean it's 20 years old it's bound to go out sometime in the foreseeable future or the clutch will break or something. I plan on installing everything myself then taking it to a shop to get it discharged, flushed, and diagnosed to see if I have any leaks and such for $75 but the most expensive part of all of this really is the compressor and that is about $215 or so.

Tonight I replaced my A/C fan speed resistor module and put one ziptie and wrapped some twist tie wire around my trunk release cable and it works beautifully.

hopefully everything else is ok for now i mean the ac was working great last summer but the compressor seemed like it was putting alot of drag on the motor then i saw the dye that was in the system by the clutch/pully plus it lost enough charge for it to even kick on

and now tonight i guess my aem wideband broke its just reading 14.8 and not changing maybe the censor died? i'll have to take a look when its light out and not cold

The A/C used to work but when I changed my head gasket I removed a top hose that was bolted down onto the compressor and just heard a pressure release like removing an air hose from an air tool and nothing else happened, nothing came pouring out. There wasn't any freon in the system so I imagine there is a leak somewhere hopefully it is a leak that can be fixed with a new seal. Here in Houston the infamous Texas heat is rolling in very soon and I bought the car during the summer too, one year anniversary coming up just reminded myself lol, so A/C will be much needed.

yea we only got snow in like northern Texas lol here in Houston we usually get ice and very little snow if any but it's nice not having to worry about the salt on the roads rusting our cars unless you live in Galveston then you gotta worry about the sea water in the air.

Yeah, I just bought a new fan resistor as well.
Did you do the zip tie the thing to tighten the cable? Good idea.

I will keep him in mind but my mechanic is about 5 min from me and does great respectable work, he changed my clutch and such and is very thorough and lets me know if I should change some seals and such he comes across.

Yea I used one zip tie then wrapped that twist tire type wire you get with PC parts and such and cut it to size, trunk pops beautifully now. If I used 2 zip ties then the trunk wouldn't close but that depends on the size of the zip tie you use.
