Since I now have white doors (with no trim), will soon have a white front right fender, and already have a little primer on both the front and back fender due to chipping of the paint, I need to decide what color primer to paint my car until I can get it painted. I can't stand a multi-colored car, even though my engine bay will still be burgandy. I'm leaning towards black. I need suggestions people. For more pics of my car, click on the cardomain link in my sig.

depends on what color you are going to paint your car later on.

If you primer it black, then later on decide to paint it white, it will take alot more paint to cover the black. even so if you are going back to burgandy. just my 2 cents.

This primer is just until I'm finally ready to repaint my car. At which point I'll be block sanding the entire car, and I do mean entire car. Keep in mind I'm not going to primer my engine by though until I'm ready to start block sanding. As far as future color, I've fallen in love with the burgandy on black, so the body will be burgandy again, maybe with a hint of something else.

i work as a pro painter and typically speaking we always use grey primer for all colors unless its bare metal, and then we have to use black self etch primer. but remember if you decide to only paint a piece at a time always use the same color primer if you dont. you will end up with different colors lol. if you are going to go burgandy i would just use grey its easier to see where your painting. where as with red primer there is a chance you could get the paint a little thin in spots because of the red tint in the paint. but thats just my opinion.
