For the most part I've held on to what I knew I'd regret selling (Supra and my 4-Runner I bought 13 years ago), but I do miss my '66 beetle rustbucket I was restoring, fun ass car:

Also miss my turboed Escort at times, although selling it funded the 2j swap in my Supra:

pic of the 4runner!

i like beetles...my dad said he doesn't like them because of some blind spot from the front windshield pillars and he had to work on his engine too much. why do you like them?

I've been thinking of them because they 1.look cool 2.have tons of after-market support 3.simple 4.good on gas

I want a 4runner more though.

a turbo escort! is that a reliable option? my friend has a 4-door and he's always talking about making it faster/better...if its a kit i would have NEVER guessed.

Beetle was just a cool car, looked good slammed and got alot of attention even with the rust holes and crappy paint. Really easy to work on too.

Definitely no turbo kit for a SOHC Escort, I modified an Eclipse manifold (flipped) to fit and fabbed a downpipe and tons of other stuff. It was a really fun sleeper and my original setup was <$400. Just got tired of working on it. Currently have a '96 Escort I inherited from the person I used to be married to (lol), almost 180k with only maintenance and still gets 30-35mpg :icon_bigg

73 bug. If I only figured out what damn motor to put in that car, I was torn between a 12a and a WRX motor.

If I ever get another one, a street port 12a with a nice carb will find its way into that car.

WOW what a beautiful truck!! that is almost exactly what i'm looking for as my next car! (should i get a truck rather than a car...)

I've been trying to find one that nice for a semi-sane price for years. although i suppose i could try harder (out of state that is). they're expensive in cali. and usually come with their share of high milage, rust, faded paint, or dents.....

First was my 92 nsx (LOL). Sorry for the pic. I didn't own a dig. camera when I owned the nsx. I sold it because I couldn't afford the $300 a mo. payment when I started college. I should have never sold it I bought it for $12k with 29k miles on it. Black on black, leather, manual. Now that was a head turner. .

The other was my last 89 supra. Sold this one the 3rd year of college because I could not afford the upkeep at the time. But the TD-06 was fun that was in that car. Funny thing I just found it for sale on craigslist. I am going to go look at it this afternoon. It now has 1jz swap in it but lots of rust in the rear on it now, and spoiler & bumpers are not painted. Never the less I am going to go take a look at it and get some pics.

Both cars are full of memories, and at the right price I would buy both back in a heart beat.

There are a couple..... First, I regret selling my first truck, which was a 1985 Toyota Pickup. 2WD, 4 speed manual, 22R powered. I don't have a single picture of it, surprisingly, but I miss it just because it was my first car, and there were alot of memories associated with it.

Second, my 1987 Toyota Pickup. Also 2WD, 5 speed manual, 22R powered. Sold it because I was an idiot and decided to go into debt on my '06 Colorado. I miss that truck almost every day when I see another one on the road, and I would buy it in a heartbeat if I ever found it for sale again. Pics:

Last, I miss my 1987 Toyota Supra turbo.... 5 speed, targa. I cried when I sold that one.... After I got it all cleaned up and everything before the towing company got there, I had it parked in the exact same spot in front of my parents' house that it was in the day I bought it, and then immediately started having flashbacks. Every good memory that I ever had with that one, which was alot, all hit me at the same time, and I just couldn't help it.... For the time I had it, it was one of the only constants that I had in life. Just didn't have the money to fix it, at that time......
