Yup the hks ssq has 3 inserts at different frequencies. Purple and gold have to be bought seperatly. Gold has a higher sound, purple has a lower sound, and the stock silver one is somewhere in the middle. got to love that sound!:love:
Trust me, it's deffinatly a hks ssq, no question!

You can, and yea it sounds similar to the type 2...if you have enough boost....

i opted to pay the $400.00 for the HKS racing type 2.. sounds like a whooosh of air.. but when you're running big boost it has a loud BOOOOO noise.. probably comp. surge, but every car ive heard it on sounds the same.. i personally favor the bark and whoosh sounds of the Greddy RS, TiAL, and HKS type 2, etc.. not a big fan of whistling BOV's but the ssqv is a good valve, but i wanted the type 2 beacuse it displaces so much air

Its actually 2 hks ssq's mounted near the outlets of the intercooler. I remember readin the thread on supraforums. That was the number one question everybody was askin.
