Depends on a few things.

If you have a safc, and have taken fuel out, chances are the computer has ramped up the timing.

Im not sure how to measure it once a piggy back ecu has been installed.

Normally people run 14-16 deg on N/As, so I'm pretty sure it's a horrible idea to be running 14 on Turbo ;p

I run the stock 10btdc on my 7mgte. I tried upping it to 12 on the dyno, and saw a whopping 1-2hp gain. Played it safe and stuck with 10

Im running 10 on mine, but I think I need to do my timing again, I did with with a light but I didnt connect the two sensors in teh diagnosis box with a paperclip while I did it. Dont know if that makes a diff but the car runs fine, sometimes I hear a tiny backfire.,

the ecu is controlling it until you put in the jumper.

Ah, that would explain ALOT lol. High idle, thats not ALWAYS sure of itself, and the tiny backfires I guess. ok, looks like i know how to fix this one.

My timing must be off to. I never jumped the sensors either and my car idles from 1200-2000 . Up and down after its warm. Would his cause that? The car is also missing really bad when under a load.. If this is my problem ill get on that asap. Please get back to me on this if this would cause that kinda problem. Thanks in advanced steve
