i'm asking this because i am having a problem with my supra. i can be idleing or driving and after some high revving or alittle bit of boosting, it will idle just fine and then cut off after about 5 seconds. it will start right up afterwards no problem. i do have an Greddy RS atmospheric BOV which i adjusted to a harder setting. i do have a JDM ecu. i have a fully built 7MGTE with alot of extras. the motor only has about 50 miles on it or so. it's just getting annoying. pretty much when i get to my destination. it will just cut out like someone is just pulling the plug on my car. it's DOESN'T bog down and run crappy or nothing, it just just cuts off. i'm not too familiar with symptoms of boost leak or fuel cut or anything like that. i'm sure i'm going to get alot just recirculate the BOV, but i'm curious of other possibilities and symptoms. thanks!

If it's at a normal idle and just cuts off = I'd be thinking electrical. If it cuts off after normal driving and cuts off when you go to idle (i.e. let off the gas pedal) = BOV vented to atmosphere.

What is your idle RPM? And, is it stable?

Like I said, check your ECU codes.

ok so i know my CEL bulb was burnt out so i fixed that first. i checked and rechecked the codes just to make sure. like i said. i have a jdm ecu, so i can assume maybe some of these codes were on the computer before me, but idk. the codes i have are...
24-intake air temp. sensor signal
32-afm signal(TSRM says 7MGE only?)
42-vehicle speed sensor signal
51-no "IDL", "NSW", or "A/C" signal during diag. check(my a/c compressor is not hooked up?)
52-knock sensor signal( new KS rewire kit installed, but not new KS's)

i'm curious about the 24 and 32 codes.

what i'm planning on doing is clearing the codes and then driving it around and see what pops up again, so i know its from my motor and nothing else

INPUT please!

ok, so i cleared the codes and let run and revved it up and whatnot til the CEL came back on...and it did. the codes that came back were:

32, 51, and 52...once i get my new A/C compressor, we'll see if the 51 code goes away. The 52, everyone seems to have. the only thing that's not new is the knock sensors themselves. and the 32...maybe new afm electronics, but the TSRM says 7MGE only which is why i need some input

The only relationship for code 51 to the AC is if the button is pushed it powers the AC amplifier and will cause the code...this is normal. Foot depressing the gas pedal will cause a code 51 as well...again, normal. Make sure the AC switch is not depressed and check again. If the code 51 is still there, it is because the TPS is not adjusted properly...the ECU will not go into a normal idle mode with this code present.

The ECU retards timing significantly with a code 52.

Code 32...hmmmm. You sure you don't have a JDM ECU for a NA motor?

24+32=bad AFM sensor**
42=Check you speedometer cable (did you remember to hook it back up)
51=TPS not making proper ground contact with IDL, readjust
52=bad. Make sure you plugged both in, if so, possibly rewire them.

**32 should not be on a GTE as mentioned earlier. Sure its not 31?

i'm pretty sure it's plugged in, but i'll make sure tomorrow. i DID swap AFM electronics and the same thing happened. so, now i can rule that out. i was really hoping that was it =0(. now i have no idea.
