What are the consequences of the 7mgte's ECU not having a speed signal?

I am swapping a 7mgte into a volvo i have, and am not using the supra's instrument cluster. So i have no speed signal coming FROM the cluster INTO the ECU for the ecu to determine the speed cut. Will the ECU just not bother with a speed limiter? Or will the ecu go into limp mode? Or will something else that i dont want to happen actually happen?

This is just the first of many questions.

There is no speed cut on the 7M... redline limited. ;) Other than that, I am unsure. Perhaps a more TCCS savvy person will chime in to answer that for you.

you are correct. there are no plans to integrate the supra's cruise control and im running an R154. I just noticed an input on a wiring diagram to the ECU labeled "speedometer input" and figured that there is a speed limiter and this is how it is activated. Thanks for the replies.
