What are my chances of finding a RHD MK3 on the east coast?

So, as of today, I realized that I want an illegitimate supra, er... I mean...
I would like to find an imported JDM A70 for my own personal benefits.

Does anyone know where I can obtain one "for race use only"? I would like one... regardless of legality.

It would be unique. I'd like to eventually have a LEGAL RHD supra just for that reason. It would be the DD, so it'll be relatively stock... I just want something different while retaining stock appearance.

I know a guy in st. louis who put all the JDM stuff on a USDM car. THe entire swap. It looks like it came like that way. Dash, sensors, cluster, everything. All legal and insurable since its just a swap of parts on the USDM car.

that's a stunning car projectsupra. I'm really thinking about it...

Anyone know of an importer along the east coast? preferably in my area... but anywhere from PA to ME would be optimal..

I'm with IJ, why?

Let me ramp this up some, What are you thinking? Seriously. (Ok, so there is a teenybopper fasincation with the RHD stuff, but when you actually drive it on the road here where everything is LHD based, your going to hate the car in a hurry.

Let's think about some situations where your going to hate the RHD.

Hungry? Why not drop by the drive through... Oh, that's right, you can't order from your side of the car, let alone pay for the food...

How about the toll bridge... Or the parking garage... Basicly anything where you have to interact with someone in your car, buying food, paying for parking or anything. (Unless you move to England, Japan or some other place that drives the "wrong way" in relationship to the rest of the world.)

On a more serious note, let's try passing a line of vehicles. Or just one. How are you going to see if there is oncoming traffic? Oh, you can't that's right. So get used to following grand-ma at 10mph under the posted limit for a long time, or just play chicken with other traffic. (Easy way to get killed actually, if your playing chicken with a Semi Truck.)

Are you skilled at left hand shifting? Or how about learning to drive where left turns are now the "outside" turn. Made any right turns on red lately with a RHD car? Your going to need invisable passengers....

The only thing I'd love to get from a RHD car is the center console and parking brake setup. I hate having the brake handle hit me in the thigh, and it's too bad the center console and dash are not interchangable from RHD to LHD.

Good luck on the project however. It's not my idea of fun.

I'm on the rhd hater bandwagon too:icon_bigg It would be dangerous to drive on the streets, difficult to register, and you would probably get a ticket for it. Being different just to be different is lame when there is no good reason for it.
