I need a new wastegate, and something came up to my mind. Can the wastegate be removed from the turbo assembly???

the spring assembly yes, the actual valve that opens and closes not really (at least i don't think it can be removed?).
Not really removed, but you could weld it shut if you really wanted to. You'd need some other manifold setup with an external wastegate... and other manifolds that accept the CT turbo don't really exist.

only thing i think you could really do is use a T4 mani and make an adapter for the CT somehow, with the right CNC program and machine shop, you could do it.
