Well took the supra to the track. I have about 700 miles on the new setup and thought it was time to get a idea.

First pass I launched at 4000rpm and almost right away it drove through the clutch. 2.1 60ft but would not hold any gear.
Went back and let the clutch cool.
second pass same thing.
Finally decided not to worry about the 60ft and just see if I can make a full pass.
Rolled out in first (2.56 60ft) Ran a 13.4@110mph

I was running 12psi pump gas on drag radials. I have a 6 puck feramic clutch disk with stock pressure plate.

All in all I am happy. With a 1.9 60ft that puts me well in the mid 12's. So I just need to get a grip on the clutch issue. Any suggestions?

I will have a 50hp nitrous shot for launching and run 18psi next time.

2.56, damn...

But hey, I am no pro either. Practice, practice, practice. And the sticky tires and a different suspsension setup if you plan on the drags.

No traction issue at all. tein flex suspension, nitto drag radials. Car is glued to the ground...lol. Slow 60ft is from me just rolling out instead of launching to get the clutch to hold.

ah! thats a nice turbo. they really get going around 17psi or so. any dyno time?

and as far the clutch i can say enough about the hpf bronze disc. its by far the best feeling clutch ive driven. holds gobs of power and real smooth engagement w/o chatter.

No no dyno time yet. I still need to finishup a few things. I need to put the new boost controller in, install the nitrous kit, and fix the 2.5" catback pipe that goes into a 3"muffler that came on the car. I truly wonder about people that do things like that. I also want to get my water injection installed. I wanna make only one trip to the dyno. I plan to tune it to about 500rwhp and stop there.

that shouldnt be a problem w/ your setup. i just looked at your profile and saw the mods you have. i dont have signatures turned on so didnt see it before.

500rw should be obtainable on less than 20psi if you have the tuning sorted.

cool, thats what I am looking for. I believe with the water injection that should also be obtainable on pump gas safely.
