first off....rebuilding and not replacing pistons is idiotic. Second, they're toyota factory replacements with PROPER size/specs. The mechanic who built the motor happens to drag/race 7m's so he knows what he's doing

Toyota makes/offers O.E. .020 oversize pistons?:icon_conf

/\ /\ /\ I wasn't trying to put you down, just simply asking since you didn't list them in your mod list. No harm intended...

Aspec- I didn't know they did either but I'm sure someone will confirm this. (Do you ever go down and see the shooting of the show 'Pinks'? Isn't it in your town?)

-Chris

edit: Looking back through your previous threads, did you clear up your other problems yet? Your leaking downpipe, mal-adjusted TPS, lower fuel pressure, lack of a wideband, replace your radiator hose for a real coupler/hard pipe? If not those could severely rob your power as well...

Nope, I did not even know they were in town when they shot that. I have seen that episode though.:biglaugh:

I think most of them are shot there, I only noticed in the first place because that's where my grandparents live, but in the Sun City West side of town or something. /thread-jack

Its cool :bigthumb: . I was just easily annoyed this morning...i woke up with the worst hang over i've had for awhile and then realized i was due in at work in an hour...so my bad too.

As far as the other problems are concerned, yes. Hose is fitted with a rediator hose temporarily and has held up well even over 12PSI spikes it took. FP is back to normal i set it at 40PSI. TPS was replaced and instantly made a huge difference, the one i had wouldn't spring back to zero anymore. R/T tuning tuned the low end for now, the high end is running a bit rich until i can get a handle on the new turbo thing. Also...the wierd vibrations im having when its warm have not been as prevalent mainly due to cooler temperatures around here. Its still vibrating though in traffic due to higher op temperatures...i can't even begin to think what it could be.

What about your transmission mount? Do you have the stock one or an old ripped one by chance? In my Z28 I had before, I put one of the poly ones in and hated it because there was so much vibration, even at idle.

If you're running 170rwhp on a stock car, that is one tired 7M. Most stock 7M's I've seen dyno are usually 190-200rwhp.

i was speaking of auto cars. little more drivetrain loss and slightly lower boost. looking back, he has a 5sp tho.

180-190 is what i would say then. i havent ever seen a 100% stock 5sp dyno past 192rw. but then again, ive only seen a handful that were 100% stock.

either way, his car isnt stock, i was just trying to give him something to compare to.

the turbo must be shot.. 220 @ 6psi isn't bad.. but I would think there would be more torque if you peaked 12-13 psi.. I did 256/275 with 10psi

I've seen 3 or so totally stock cars dyno over 195rwhp. Jim (Heckler on here)'s car dyno'ed 199.x rwhp, and it was totally stock, 62,000 miles.

(You're right though, these are all 5-speed cars).

Welll........i found the problem...I made a few calls today and eventually discovered the tubes to the greddy e-valve were switched :slap: . Past owner installed it wrong so the boost spike is now fixed and I was already experimenting today with it...big difference. I accidentally it 14.5PSI b/c the setting was 10% too high. I now hold a steady 9.5~10.5PSI at i think 35%.

^^^well....im gonna wait. I just sent out the spare turbo i have for some 57trim upgrade. It had minimal shaft play and the turbine was mint (short of dirt/grease) so i'm hoping it doesnt need a rebuild too because i'm not sure i have enough money for that right now. I will know monday or tues for sure whats going to happen with that.

Haha, thats me! Yea i do need some parts actually. I need a radiator fan (just the fan, not the clutch), the turbo hose down to the intercooler (the one attatched to the turbo) and now a rear carpet (grey). Since the battery acid incident, my carpet it just done for. Any help would be GREAT! Also, i'm looking for 89+ stuff ie wing, bumper, side mirrors, cup holder(!) etc. Dark red in color.
