I made it home! And its a good feeling being home again! First thing I did? Drove the Supra to pick up my dog from the neighbors house! (after a complete fluid check and 3 min warm up time.) She idled a little funny to begin with but cranked over on the first try. I guess it helped that I had my girlfriend come over and start her up every couple days or so. After riding in a Ford van that topped out at 80mph in Germany my car feels freakin' FAST!

Economist: Sorry about not trying harder to hook up with so of you guys but as I said before time was limited because of the "touristy" stuff I did with my family. Maybe next time!

Yea Germany was awesome. I really liked Bavaria. It was some of the most gorgeous scenery I will probably ever see in my life. I really hope I will be able to make it back there before I die. Austria is awesome too, that whole region with the Alps is just awesome. I will post some pics when I unpack the digi-cam.

My uncle was stationed in Germany for 2 years in the army back in the late 80's right before the gulf war. He met a german waitress....but when he left for Iraq, he lost contact with her....sad story.

But yeah, the pictures and stories he brought back just makes me want to save up and pack up and just move over there.

I took German in high school for 3 years......and the teacher has gone to germany every year for the past 20 years...practically owns a house over there....lucky woman! hahahahah

I'm located in the very south at the Lake Constance, about 550km / 350mi from Cologne. the lake is a quite popular destination for tourists from all over the world, too :p

I am reviving this thread to say.....that I am going back to Germany tomorrow!!!! (7th) I can't believe its been over a year since I was there last, it does not feel like it. This time we will be going for 3 weeks instead of 2 and we'll be traveling NorthWest, into the Rhineland, of my sister's place in Stuttgart. I am really excited about going again since I have an idea of what to expect, plus my lovley girlfriend will be going with us. That was hands down the worst part of the trip last year was being seperated from her for that long. She also just graduated from high school tonight, so our trip was planned not a moment too soon. I am going to somehow try and find some Euro Supra parts. I really want to score a rear license plate trim piece with the back up lights integrated into the molding. Wish me luck!

Gehen sie nach Muenchen... I go there every couple years. I loooooooooove the Hofbrauhaus' beer. So smooth.

It's such a relaxing place. Go for a swim at the olympic park thingy...go chill in the gardens, swing by the Fussgangerzone, have a couple good brews.

I did not like Frankfurt. Maybe it was just that I was right by the train station and it was a ghetto area.

Ive only been in Frankfurt to go to the damn airport and fly to north america, lol but my mom and sis sure liked going shopping there.
Never been to Munich but been to Nuremberg... nice for shopping and eating and sightseeing too. And dont forget the oktoberfest down there... but thats in a few months...

Nuerburgring is nice too... my sis has been there for a Formula 1 race a few years ago, ive been there for Rock am Ring... sure was a lot of fun!

Ummmm... id say go to berlin... berlin is always good but since you are on the other side... damn, you should take a trip to the east and see Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig. All awesome for sightseeing.

Watch some soccer games! Enjoy the craziness of german soccer fans!
Im sure it will be crowded in some places... Munich for sure, Stuttgart maybe... i know there are games in Berlin and Leipzig. Im kinda glad Im not there right now, lol

Thinking about it... go to the north too... Ostsee, Nordsee... awesome areas up there!
