To begin:

I feel Ive always been here for the good of the community and its members (this includes sharing some things private to the public & aimed at keeping the public informed), so I decided to share my thoughts and feelings with you all.

Ive been informed that Im fired from my duties of being a moderator here on the forum due to "conflicting interest of moderation and vendor status."

I agree with that - to a degree.

Frankly I feel most of the decision is BS.

I think I have pissed some one off because I told the truth and/or did the right thing while some poor piss ant got his / her feeling weelings hurt.

Maybe I wasn't politically correct enough?

Tough Crap.

Ive been a member and watch dog so to speak of this forum LONG BEFORE I became a vendor or tried to make a living selling supra parts.

I was even INVITED to join the moderation team here on the forum - where was the conflict of interest then?

I normally don't fly my own flag or float my own boat, but....

Ive been there for ALL of you guys when sh!t has hit the fan, especially when trolls decided to run amok and no one else from the mod staff was to be found.

I never wanted any thing - not even a thank you - but I definitely wasn't looking to be disgraced or insulted like this.

Just like all of the moderation staff, Ive put in alot of hours and effort to make sure we keep the good guys in, and the bad guys out.

Forgive me if a little technicality or conflict of interest strikes you the wrong way.

It continues to baffle me as to why a staff of any organization would follow law, even though such law is detrimental to the society or membership of the organization.

To my fellow members:

Good day to you all, and I will continue to serve you to the greatest of my ability with the best supra parts and turbo charger rebuilding services.

I plan on hitting you up for some info on a turbo in the future so I'm glad to hear you'll be here:)

Sucks to hear, Jon. I have noticed the forum becoming a little more SFish what with more attention given and sections created in the OT department.
Hopefully you will be able to reconcile with whoever you pissed off. It is just the internet.

Sorry, Jon.

See, it's okay to break the rules for a few years...but after that, it HAS to be fixed...randomly and completely out of place.

When the f*ck did things start working out like that?

Anywho, another day, another character. Business will go on. :)

As Justin said.......we may not chat with you daily..........But your presence is greatly appreciated here. I too will someday swing a little business your way. I hope you can get past the humility, and stay with us as friends.

What I have always liked about this forum is that the mod staff is very active in the community, and not just there to hand out the "bad post " messages. MOds at other sites to remain nameless are not there to help, and seem to have contests on who can ban the most.

Jon, I would have thought your vendor status would be more important to you than your moderator status, if you feel differently, let me know.

As for the change in policy, it's something that has been on the books for a while now, and it's something that we talked about for quite a while (read: at least a year).

I don't think you were removed from the moderation staff because you pissed anyone off.

Couldn't someone on the outside of all the 'moderationship' - easily mispercieve MDC's vendor status on 7MP, and the recent ugliness between SC & 7MP's JT as an odd coincidence given the timing - even though I'm sure this has nothing to do with it at all, right?

No thanks young sir. I enjoyed both positions. If this is an idle threat, let me know.

Damn there's been a lot of drama on this forum lately!

I never saw any prob with you as a mod + vendor.
I haven't seen any times when being both has put you in a hard position yet, but I understand the fear that that case could arise.

Anyway, I'm sorry to hear that MDC, thanks for what you do for the community!

Give credit where credit is due - Shaeff and Reignmaker - I wasn't doing it all alone.

damn. I was always hoping to some day (maybe years from now) get the chance to be a mod here, but apparently I'd have to give up my vendor status. that sucks Jon, sorry to hear that.

I really don't understand how the titles conflict with each other
