Hi mate, thanks heaps for the info and the link, now I know what to look for and how to fix it :)

A little OT, does anyone know anyone who makes a spool center for the MkIII? I've been looking high and low for these but no joy :(

Jawsgear makes a spool

Nuh, contacted Jawsgear, apparently they made up a prototype but no one was interested... They'll only consider reviving it with 20 orders for $300 each. Anyone wanna buy a spool? I'd be in for 3!

Hmm, when I called em in November they told me they offered it, guess not.

I've been emailing Jeff Wilson back and forth the last couple of weeks, maybe they only recently canned it?

Anyway, so still looking...

I talked to them over 2 years ago about this so I could build a racing pumpkin for when I wanted to go to the track. I was told they had a prototype and it would be finalized in a week or so. Nothing was said about them needing to meet a minimum order quantity, just that the prototype wasn't really ready yet, etc etc. A few weeks later nothing had really been done, but they had mentioned sending me an untested prototype and wanted to charge me $3XX. I didn't think this was a good idea and decided to work with the stock LSD. I'm glad I did. My priorities are a little different now and changing pumpkins to go racing is not something I want to do. With today's technology, I don't even change my tires when I go racing, let alone a rear. A spool is useless unless you have a trailer and never want to drive your car anyway.

Yep, my car goes nowhere without a trailer lol. Dedicated track car, couldn't even register it for road use if I wanted to :)
