You see people? My turbo risers will even hold up to heavy boosting with gix's foot behind the pedal.

Best promotion for a turbo I've seen yet.

Either way thats a crazy ass story like some else stated earlier you may want to keep your Supra in the garage for a little to let things cool down you have a daily right.

Except for the fact that when the officer radios it in and they send four or five other cars out to circle like sharks they'll spot you like bait.

Might want to stay the night at your friend's house... with the car in his garage.

Not always the case.
I ran from the cops heading to Vermont. I was still ~1hr from my destination. Turned a corner and was out of the officer's sight long enough to duck off the highway, I circled right back up onto the onramp and actually followed the cop.

He ended up pulling someone else over, I'm sure out of frustration that he couldn't find me.

I drove the 1hr without incident, and the following day, traveled the same highway back for ~3hrs.

All done in a Legacy wagon with 230,000mi on it... lol

Lol I had the same thing happin to me but I was thinking oh shit because I was going 90mph in my old vw I pulled all the way over and got off (no intention of running just getting to a safe place) and he couldn't find me so he pull over the truck I came flying up on. felt kinda bad for the truck he was going no where near as fast as me and prob. got my ticket.

Well, my car is hiding for a few days....while I drive my other supra lol.

The radio thing I wasn't really worried about, because in the area, there are three highway patrols per 8 hour shift..... those three work four counties.

The only thing I'm worried about is the fact my car is really distinctive, because its a maroon car with a white hood....lol I think I'll be flat blacking that hood before my car sees the road again. I don't think he saw it well, it was night time with cloud cover.

Yes, MDC's Turbo Risers are FTW. In Glowed red with no damage...lol.

Wish I'd though to take a picture of the header, riser, exhaust housing and downpipe glowing in the dark.

a supra can go 173?? (with mods of course) holy crap. i find that scary. i have no idea about how stable cars are at that speed, but it seems like it would be incredibly dangerous in a normal car that doesnt have some areodynamic advantages over a street car

whats the speed record for a road-driven supra?

what's a turbo riser?

I have ran from the cops alot in my daily driver ...... i live in atlanta well dekalb county to be exact but we have cops on every corner. I have been right-fully harassed a few times after blowing black smoke and extra fuel on their windshield a couple nights before but nothing stuck. They ran my plates i guess and that was it. I dont think they can do anything to you for running from them a few nights ago unless they have your tag number but even so it could have been your cousin "Jonny" driving it that night ..... and i believe moving violations have to be placed on a driver liscence number and not a tag so i think u are ok just lay low for a while

Car was actually quite stable. Didn't wander or anything like that. Felt like 90 mph except with everything moving much much quicker. I have suspension mods and things of that sort too...

I know they didn't get the tag. I talked to my cop buddy and got to hear the disbatch tape. He thought he was in persuit of a firebird...lol

So its cool, my car is just going to lay low for a few days. I'll drive my titan, gsxr, or 89 white package till then. I gotta fix that line and do a comp test too.

A turbo riser is what you need when you have an SS autocrap manifold to make a BIG turbo fit on it without the compressor housing hitting the runners. MDC makes very very nice ones that fit well, and can be custom ordered with a twist, or angle and whatnot...

Justin: Pm sent.

ok then. well mk3s only.

i was thinking 7m... i guess it doesnt really batter as a 700hp 7m could probably pull the car just about as fast as a 2jz with 900ish... but it would take longer to get there... but i dunno.

an mk4 going over 200 doesnt seem as crazy because they are newer and seem like they would be more stable...for some reason.

so i'm imagining an extender/bent fitting and tube for the exaust to flow into the turbo that relocates it because its too big to fit between the manifold and the side of the engine bay. makes sence. cool.

so in light of how you mentioned it lived through it...

do some of them melt crack or something?

REally didn't realize I was going that fast. I almost hit 6k rpm in fourth on the quarter mile track ;) Its really easy for the thing to get away from you... as in a standing start quarter mile I have run 122 mph in less than 12 seconds flat before the end of the track. So, within 15-20 second of stomping it when seeing the blue lights @ 50 mph, I was already over 150... Whats scary is, the car did NOT quit pulling at any point. even at 6300, it was still climbing.

Oh, and I guestimated the tire... they are actually(total diameter) a little over 26.5" so I think around 177 or so?

I'll take it to the salt flats and break 180 with it ;) (yeah right)

On the risers, if they were thin material, or not well made... they would crack. MDC has a superb product, as has been everything I've bought from him.(which has been a good bit)
