Good luck with the rebuild! When you put the valve covers back on use hex headed bolts instead and add some star lock washers to them as well. The covers will never come loose again.

its not hard to pull and rebuild the motor. get lots o sandwich bags, brake cleaner and buy yourself a tsrm from toyota. call watson 1-800-327-2087

Hell, skip the dealer all together and call Toyota Pulications direct. That's where he'll order it from. 800-622-2033. They also sell re-prints of owners manuals if you'd like one. They will charge you, but you can have them over-nighted!

BTW - if you go to the trouble of ordering the TSRM, also order the EWD (electronic wiring diagram) book. Tells you all the details of the whole wiring system in the car. What connector, what pin, and color of the wire and breaks down all the systems individually!
