weird vacuum pressure

So I finally put a boost gauge in the in the other day seeing my car was orginally an na car and it reads about 8 or 9 inHg is this normal or do I have a vacuum leak.

8-9 inHg is really low. How is the idle? Stock cams? With stock cams you should see 18-20 inHg on a healthy engine.

It idles at about 700ish and it has stock cams

Definitely low. Altitude plays an effect on vacuum too, but I doubt you're too high up in the mountains, surely not high enough to cause that low of a reading.

So should I search for a leak or maybe use a different vacuum line for my gauge to see if i get a different reading?
