Well...This is the 2nd winter I've went through that I've noticed this symbol on a "spare" bedroom window at the back of my house.
I've lived here for a little over 2 years now.

I DO know the history of this house (as well as the previous owners), and there were no kids raised in this house.

Looks like someone just ran their finger on the glass and made this symbol from the INSIDE of the house.

It only shows when it's really cold (of course)

So, pardon my ignorance, but what the HELL is this? :icon_conf
Put me out of my misery and tell me so I can stop being a girl about it. :aigo:

You kiddin'? I haven't touched that damned thing. Might be cursed or something.

No, seriously...I've stepped in that room maybe 10 times and it's been to set stuff back there for storage or getting something, and that's it.

Actually, The more I look at this picture I posted, it's a bit different than what I remembered it looking like. It originally seemed to look like a circle with an X and a half circle about half way up that went acrossed it.

*sigh*...:dunno:

First thing I thought of when I saw your picture. This is the symbol for the blair witch project.

Ok, just so I'm straight on this... the symbol has been there since you moved in and has never changed and the window never been tampered with?

If so, I'm going to guess that some little kid was infront of the window and bored, and started making random drawings.

Stop being a girl about it :p

I came home from work with my neighbor wiping his windows with newspapers the otherday, I've never heard such thing before then.

my grandmother used to make me clean all the windows in her house like that, and it does a damn good job. gets everything crystal clean and the newspaper leaves no lint.

You nailed it! That's what this damn thing has reminded me of.
Which is probably why it's been in the back of my mind for the last 2 years.

Well, I guess I should've emphasized my point in this thread a little better.
As I stated in the OP, there have been no kids that lived in this house.

Just a very old couple that originally built this house years ago.
I guess I'm more concerned about how or why the hell it's there...

Oh well. If I'm taken in by the devil of Blair Witch or something, never forget me. :biglaugh:

Nah. I'll leave it there for sake of having some thrill and horror stories whenever I have any little ones over. :)

(I'm such a bad person) ;)

By the way - It only appears when it's really cold. Any temperatures above 40 or so, and the window looks as clean as can be.
