hello!! i have a 1992 Supra Turbo Auto. the only mods are K&N intake, ZW motorsports downpipe with divorced wastegate, and a custom 3" exhaust. whenever it's hot outside, and only when it's hot there is a nasty noise right below the trans. it sound like pressure is coming out there. I know it's not the ddp sound. more like pfffff pfff fpffffffff. mostly while i give it some gas, and sometime at idle. The muflfer shop cant find any leaks. U guys think it's the downpipe that's making that noise?????? any advice on what i can do would help. Thanks!

Welcome to SM. I'm going to move this to the General MkIII section. You will get a few more responses that way. If you have any questions about this site, like where to post, or a question about the rules and guidelines here, feel free to PM me. Good luck. Have fun here.

Does it happen at a certain RPM in any gear? For example, 2200rpm in first, 2200rpm in second, third, etc. Only under boost?

My guess would be a loose exhaust. Get underneath the car and hit the exhaust in different places with your hand. You might be able to recreate the noise that way. I could be wrong, but it's worth a shot.

ok, i will try that tomorrow. Today it's 52degree outside and the car is normal, no weird noise under the car at all, i wonder if it's coming out of the downpipe where the round threads section is. it only do it when it's hot. thanks for your help!!

rtrdpenguin, no it sound like fart. lol. I think i have exhaust leaks somewhere, i'm gonna put my stock exhaust system back on, if the noise still there, then it's coming from the DDP. i'm tired of loud exhaust noise, i want quiet now. willl the stock exhaust fit the back of the DDP?????
