My 92's clutch started sticking half way, and sometimes to the floor, figured it was the slave cylinder, but I noticed the pedal only stuck when I held on it for more than a few seconds and released slowly. If I pressed and released right away, it came back up. Maybe a lubrication issue? Removed the spring system and re-greased it.

However, it was incredibly noisy and creaked quite loudly. I inspected the return spring and noticed it was slightly curved and two washers from the TSRM were missing, so I replaced all parts, and the sticking problem persisted. Much quieter though, so one problem solved..

Replaced the slave cylinder, and the pedal felt firmer, however it still stuck when depressed slowly as before. Also once the pedal gets stuck, either to the floor or half way, the tranny engages completely, and once it reversed without even pressing the gas, just having it in reverse and the pedal stuck made the car move pretty steadily! I had to stall it to stop it. Also once the pedal is stuck, the shifter will not come out of gear unless I force it out, or I turn the car off and put it in neutral..

what do you guys think? It's been driving me crazy and I've done all I can without removing the tranny...

edit: Clutch is new, been on the car since April and it's my daily driver, flywheel was resurfaced at the same time, also there is no fluid loss, and no grinding and it goes into gear without trouble...
the pedal will stick even if the car is off, not just when it's on..

Well, I'm not sure if you in the same situation, but my buddy had a g35 coupe with a rattleing kind of noise when first start up, it wasn't too bad until the clutch pedal became hard and started sticking half way. Then it was as if the clutch was always engaged and couldn't get into gear unless forced. Found out that the spring had jumped out of the clutch disc causing a bind. Alsso found that it jumped out due to one of the flywheel bolt has been sheered off and knocked that spring out. Sorry, it may not be the same situation with you, but just something to look out for.
