replace the 7m with an ls1, that'll get more weight off the front of the car.

That is true. It's worth about 100lbs off the front end. You also get over 300lb/ft of torque at around 2000RPMs. Then again it is not a simple swap. There is definitly fabrication involved if you want to do it right.

One thing I hate about threads like this are people posting telling you to just buy a Miata or similiar if you want a light car. To people who say things like that. If you want to fast go buy a fucking newer liter bike. It could easily cost you a lot less than modding a Supra or any car to be near as fast. My bike cost me $3600.

Obviously anyone posting about lightening a MKIII likes the car and wants to improve it. I have nothing in my car but a dash and the LS6/T56 and seats basically. I do not know the weight as of now but i'm guess-timating less than 3k lbs. I will definitly let everyone know the final weight plus driver once I get to a weign station.

Syst, you should be easily under 3k. I'm also curious to see the weight distribution with the LS1.

And for stripping the car, I was able to get my brother's supra down to 3k lbs by just removing stuff. Getting rid of extra engine stuff, everything inside that wasn't needed, etc. But I also took out a little more than most people would. Weight distribution wasn't too bad, I think it was 54-55% front, don't remember, it's written down somewhere though. But the battery was also moved to the inside and I did remove a lot of engine parts as well.
