charcoal canister really does do something...

I'd NEVER strip my car, already had a pretty badly stripped truck for a DD and weekend offroader. It was loud and uncomfortable. Sure it was fun, but I wouldn't go cross country in it...

Leave the rear seats in. You'll regret it later, trust me. As for that big metal bracket, I'd do it only if you don't put anything in your hatch area or don't mind having your stuff sink into the spare tire well. I personally prefer to have it (I've been without it for the last year and miss it. But I've gotten that taken care of (see sig).

Lol..thats funny...

Well if you are deadly serious about the weight issue, replace all thre bolts and nuts with titanium ones.

Cheers,
Roy

Not directed at you tte, but at his thread in general.

If you serious enough about weight reduction to attempt this, your also serious enought to put your time and efforts in to weight reduction on a car better suited to the task. The Supra is heavy because of what it is, a GT car. Start removing the things to make it light and it is no longer a GT car. If you didn't want a GT car in the first place why did you buy a Supra?

I actually threw the drivers seat back in and drove it like this for a few days...It sucked. After experiencing that, I've decided to load it to the top with sound deadener. My cars weight will probably be somewhere around 4000 lbs when I'm done with it.

No, no. 4k lbs. I'm not going for weight reduction. It will have ice cold A/C, power steering, sound deadening material in the headliner, on the firewall all the way back to the hatch, and on the doors. Maybe 4k lbs was a little much. It'll be between 3800 and 4000 lbs tho. I don't just want a fast car. I want a fast and comfortable car.
