I went to the race track this weekend and they had corner scales so I decided to check it out. This is an all stock 1990 Hardtop Turbo 5spd. No weight reduction and the spare tire was left in the car. However, I only had maybe 1/4 of a tank of gas. It came out to.

Front Left 968lbs 948lbs Front Right
Rear Left 821lbs 765lbs Rear Right

3501 Total (the machine rounds the lbs)

So, 1916lbs in front and 1586 in the rear. Thats 54:46 weight distribution. If I had a full tank of gas in the car the rear weight would be more even left and right. It would change the weight distribution as well.

If I had taken all of the papers out of my glove box I could have weighed in at 34XX. I guess MKIIIs are a lot lighter than I expected. Well, hardtops anyways :biglaugh:

yeah, it should have been 3501 sorry, and, the numbers add up to 3502 but the numbers i wrote down for the corners is what the scale read. I think the 1 lb difference is due to rounding each corner. Anyways, it was free to get my car weighed.

When I scaled my 87 turbo hardtop I came up with similar #
stock suspension, sawblades, 1/2 tank gas. Original spare tire in place, all interior as it left the factory.
Total weight(no driver) 3533 lb.
LF 949 RF 937
LR 844 RR 803

Rear 46.6%, Crossweight 50.5%

With 163lb driver:
LF 1013 RF 947
LR 910 RR 827

Rear 46.9% Crossweight 50.1%
