My '90T hardtop 5 spd weighs 3580 w/o driver. My friends '89 targa T 5 spd hit 3800 even on the same scale. The 2JZ guys that were there were all in the 3300~3400 range, except for the gutted hardtop (~3100). I was surprised there was so little difference considering how much less "solid" the mk4 feels on the road.
Toyota's official publication puts the weight differnce between a JZA80 and MA70 at 125 lbs. I used to have a copy I made from the old TSB with weights. I don't know where it is anymore.

wow, makes me feel better about my 7m mkii, with all the stereo stuff installed, leather interior, upgraded, stuff like the lsd, engine, swaybars, etc.. that are heavier, i figure with me in it im at ~3400 or so. guess i need to go drive to the scales off i4.
