Lately I have been spending some more time with the domestic guys and having fun with it. Between tonight and last night I have run 7 different vehicles or so.
My favorite happened tonight. I pull up to the regular meeting spot (which now includes our own cop to keep us parked in an organized fashion, as racing continues over the 3 mile bridge) One of my friends quickly runs over to me and say….srt-4 says he will put 9 cars on you. I walk directly over to srt-4 guy and say “I hear you will be putting 9 cars on me” He replies with… “I was thinking more so of 2” Well, we go out and race…his pick since he didn’t like my first two suggestions. We go from a 20mph roll. As some would say I “cheat” I start all my roll races by putting in the clutch and revving the car up to 4 or 5k and then on the 3rd honk just drop the clutch.
I’m up by ½ a car by the time I’m hitting 2nd gear. When 3rd gear comes around I’m one car up. Then by 4th gear I’m 2 cars out. It would have only gotten really ugly for the srt4 if I rode out 4th gear.
I guess he was only 11 cars off in his original assumption. :lol:
Mods: not sure but he runs a big shot at times and keeps up with some pretty stout cars. I do not think he sprayed on me.
Next:
99 600cc bike and Mkiv t76 (on 10psi running rich for break in)
The bike and I first go at it. From a 60mph roll the bike quickly jumps out 1.5 to 2 cars and I hold that position till 4th gear. After 130mph I started to catch but he shut down. Then on the round back on the bridge mkiv and bike go after it. They are dead even with me right at the ass the whole time. Bike lets out at 130mph but of course supra vs. supra we are both into it till we run out of bridge. The mkiv is right in front of me not gaining an inch he then taps the brakes around 155mph. I was happy to keep up with the both of them.
Other runs.
WRX with some nice mods. I HAD to go from a dig with him :cry: 0-120mph….He got owned.
5.0 mustang. Roll and Dig. Roll he was owned. On the dig I remembered how to drive the first time. Second time I forgot how to drive so he took the kill.
LT1 TA with a few mods. We were a dead even match till top end. Then I wanted to walk….but he always cut out before giving me that change.
We ran a few times just for fun.
1g DSM with a Super 16g was 3+ cars behind.
Then my friend with a 7m auto stock boost wanted to race. We have raced before and I have won. Well he said with a smirk “I want a DIG” So I said ok. He hole shot me like crazy. I cut out by the time I was hitting second it was so bad. Then found out the fucker was on DR’s
Definitely a Great weekend.
