Weak kill(Eclipse),good kill(Evo), and then killed(SVT Lightning)

Ok well lets start with the weak kill, ok why does everyone who drives a Eclipse think his car is the fastest shit around??? Well I was driving S. on 167 today when all of a sudden this black 04 looking model eclipse comes up on my ass. Well when he finaly gets room to come up beside me he starts taunting me. Stickers, tinted windows,exhaust and all. Well I just lay into it in 5th and pull on him like he wasn't carp. Then he keeps coming for more so I drop into 4th and tear him a new one. Needless to say he didn't want to play after that.

Earlier today on the way N. I-5 I cut over on 18 to go to N. 167 when I come up behind this 04/05 Evo. At least cat back and blow off from what I could make out for upgrades. I get up right beside him and vent off then pull in front of him. He quickly responses with pulling back around me and gets in front of me. I'm thinking sweet my first Evo race. I'm pretty confident in my car so I follow him to 167.

Once merging he tries to take off. I jam 3rd and closed the gap so fast I almost rearended him. I finaly get up beside him(and girlfriend) we both take off at about 65 and by just over 100 I had close to a car length on him. He was so pissed off he kept coming beside me and blowing off. We hit traffic so we couldn't really race anymore but we both where trying. Supra-1 Evo-0,

Now my loss but close. Last night some friends and I all went out to hit up some bars. Well one of my friends just got a SVT Lightning truck 380hp/450pds tq,(his auto/mine 5spd) well we raced a few times and everytime he would get a jump(supercharged) then I would be stuck trying to catch up. Well when we finally got enough room to get a good race on. I get a slight enough jump to were my turbo is spooling before he gets on it. I see him starting to catch right off the bat(i had about half car to start)then the faster we went to slower he was closeing and leading. We raced from 70-125 and I was half before and lost by one length. He admitted if we went for it all the way I could of caught and maybe passed him. He was very impressed i did so well only running 11pds of boost. I was supprised too but I've got a lot invested to not be disappointed. New turbo comes in...oh baby look out. Later-T

Evo's are EVIL! I messed up my first 60-1 turbo while whipping an evo's ass. :p

Nice kills man! I raced a lightning with aftermarket pulleys and owned him in the 1/4 in my civic. Those are pretty mean! He couldn't hook but when if he did he would of got me by 1 1/2 cars.

We did go heads up once but same thing; I owned him for a couple blocks because he couldn't hook up, if he had traction he would of raped me. My JDM turbo is kicking ass.

I'd watch out for some of those eclipse's... there are about a half dozen that cruise around here in KC that are easily in the 12's when street driving... and then some of them when the go to the track they run mid 11's... of course they are all 3g gsx's...

EDIT: good kill on the evo though... I got a run in with one of those when I still had my stock turbo and only 3in exhaust and kept up with him... no pulling by either one of us...

I think he ment 2nd gen or maybe first, Mitsu would of been smart to make 3rd gen anything(turbo,awd) but they aren't. Besides those motors are too fragile. Ask any eclipse owner they will tell you. Later-T

yeah it was a 2g... but they are 6bolt motors...

I'm running 11pds on a stock JDM ct-26 with a bunch of other mods to lighten and ease the load..as in, synthetic fluid,waterwetter,3" from turbo back, Flex fans(instead of clutch),ACT 6-puck,Alum fly,Mobil-1 syn.tranny fluid, true short shifter, alum drive, and royal purple rearend fluid along with other mods. "Besides those motors are too fragile" Hey SidewayzSupra as a past and current dsm owner, fragile motors they are not! My old gsx was pretty solid,so solid the only reason I sold it was the SUPRAS were here first!
I do know a guy that has a 2g front drive, auto, eclipse. It has a new 2.3 stroker motor and is very fast. This 2.3 is in no way fragile! But the 2.3 was at a price!

Do some research what I've been told is the jdm turbos are ceramic coated where the us versions aren't keeping them cooler.....hhhmmm more power.

they're not ceramic coated. if anything, the blades are ceramic. just ask the all-trac guys who love them, then sheer the blades off of them and send them through their intercoolers. :(

i dont even think our CT's are ceramic bladed (the jdm ones), mine sure isnt, and i have a jdm motor in my car.

i've compared my turbo with another known USDM ct i have, and it's identical.

have you? I have owned both a usdm and a jdm and no difference. Its just funny cause you say jdm turbo as if it was an upgrade.

Even those 3Gs have some potentional to the evo head bolts right up to there block its a 4g64 and the turbo mani from the first gen bolts up to thats a 16g right there, I kinda want to get one so I do that its funny how Mitsu put a better motor in the RS then the GT I herd the V6 sucks.

Better yet pull the block out of a 3g build it and keep its crank, put a 4g63 turbo head on it and put all of that in a 1g or 2g awd! Then you have a 2.4 stroker turbo and thoses cars are scary! My 93 gsx off the line would burn all four tires through 1st and 2nd gear and pull through snow ,very cool little cars!
