Water Temperature Sender Accuracy?

Tested with a thermo when the car was on. Gauge only has gone up to like 171 or 175 or something.
Going to pressure test tomorrow, but still? wouldnt that make the car run hotter!

Huh? Thermostat or thermometer? And, I don't understand why a pressure test would make it run hotter.

Thermometer. A pressure test doesnt do anything except tell you if you have a leak somewhere or not. Im talking about when your cooling system doesnt pressurize properly, the boiling point lowers therefore causing it to boil over into the overflow and drip out the overflow.
