Water temperature gauges

I'd like to get an aftermarket water temperature gauge after realizing just how inaccurate the stock temp gauge really is. I'd like to know what you guys are using for these, and where you mounted them (I don't want an A-pillar). And also, what is a decent one for an all around good price? ($50 or less)

Those look cool, what you should do is use a stock cluster and do whatever work you have to, to make aftermarket gauges fit in just like stock gauges.

If I may add my experience.

Do digital display, it takes the guess work over minuscule needle movements.

I love mine, and it's hella old school.

Brent, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get that and how much did it cost? Also, anyone have any brand preferences? I'm also looking @ ISSPRO and their gauges look awesome as well.

I forget what brand mine is but I just got it from my local auto shop, for like 20 bucks, works just fine, I have it mounted on the right side of my dash for now before I cut up my dash to install it. Plus the cord didn't reach very far over on the left side, so I moved it to the right and mounted it there. It's mechanical, and I'd rather have it over electrical, it's just a thermometer basically, a metal rod sticks in the normal hole for the our temp guage in the dash.

I'm seriously considering this gauge! And replacing it with the stock gauge. Anyone that has done this have any insight?

yep, ive heard good things about cyberdyne. BUT, theyre not too popular yet so i haven't really heard much bad, either.

Autometer with electric sender. Drilled and tapped a hole for it on the blank for the thermostat housing. A mechanical one needs the actual coolant to flow to the gauge for a reading. Not what I would choose to do, go electric instead. The gauge is mounted on top off the black plastic cover just behind the steering wheel. Nice and flat there and it doesn't block the display all that much. Pretty cheap, too, and under $50 if I remember correctly.
