My car overheated... again. So I let her cool down and started driving home, I noticed on a light launch i could hear a sound of fluid slushing around behind my dash. I stoped at a stop sign and reved her up a bit and the slushing sound started. It happens on every rev.. What is that?

You'll get the waterfall whenever you drain the coolant and then fill back up. I took someone here's advice about 3 years ago, and it works everytime.

I cut the little 'air bleed' dangle thingy off the thermostat, and then drill the hole out to 4mm. It lets the air purge its self out while you drive for a few days.

I've never had to mess with raising the front end and burping, since this trick.

BUT...if you haven't had the coolant out of the radiator, and the waterfall develops, it is VERY LIKELY a BHG. A tiny leak at the #6 cylinder into the coolant allows combustion gasses to pressurize the cooling system, and gasses into it.

The heater core is the highest postion in the cooling system.

i rebuilt my motor and i must be extreamly lucky becasue i got that noise for the first day i drove my car, after that i never had another problem.

try jacking the front of the car up, with the e-brake on lower it so the front tires are on top of cement blocks. open radiator cap, fill untill the level is level with the bottom of the neck, start, let warm up. itll bubble and burp. rev then engine slightly to get the water flowin and quickly let the throttle snap closed everytime. somehow it make the air move to the radiator. this is what i did and i never had a problem. my motor was out for 2 years im sure it was pretty dry in there too.

EDIT: turn heater on while car is warming up so it burps the hearter core out too.

When your burping the car you may want to turn the heater on also. It will open the heater valve and let water flow through.
I followed Nosechunks directions but had the heater on. Never had the waterfall sound again.
