Its a long story but my motor was left outside under a tarp, with cloths in the intake mani. I went to take the manifold off yesterday and the cloths were wet and water poured out from just taking off the upper manifold. Is this motor done or is there anything i can do to save it? Any suggestions would be appreciated

for future reference get some fogging oil, most jetski/motorcycle shops should carry it. Pull the plugs and spray the snot out of the cylinders if its gona sit. Should help keep light moisture from rusting the cross hatching.

i dont know in your case as id say its going to depend on how bad the bores are. how long did it sit like this?

I would be worried that you got rust inside. And I personally would need to take the head off and the bottom end apart hone everything and make sure every little bit of rust is gone.

It may not need to be honed, depending on how much of an oil film was on the cylinders and bearing surfaces. Does need to be completely disassembled and looked at very carefully and dried.

They should be fine unless a ton of water got into the engine to get the crankcase full...

The bores and rings are usually the issue on engines that have sat.
