black looks soooo hot on mk3s, but if you are sanding it down and changing color you might as well make it a one-off so that you stand out in a crowd. I vote for black with a lot of blue or red pearl, or mix a bit of black into green mica so it's ultra cool jdm
I agree with cwapface. That, or go Jade Green, I haven't seen a US MK3 go this route yet, and if I ever take out my motor again I'll definently do that. But here is a pic of my car right after it got repainted, it's color code #176, or Platinum Silver Metallic (according to Toyota).
think outside the Supra box here... go for something a little different. i am going to have mine painted Crystal Grey Metallic or World Rally Blue, both Subaru stock colors.
I had mine painted metallic blue last year. That's what the paint chip called it. Who is Tito? I couldn't figure out how to insert a quote. MKIIINA said it was Baltic Blue Pearl. That may have been the factory code name, but mine is metallic blue.
I used to paint cars. Black has always been the worst at showing dents and dinge. White is the most vibrant color and generally conceals it's blemishes,
Old Medium metallic blue 8D4 Ftw! its a stock color only offered for half a year on supras (86.5s offered for 86 corollas too i believe, oh and old ferrari dino's) but i love it to death, Once my cars painted (almost) I'll snap a pic.
i didn't go to the dealer it shouldn't be anything special, go to any paintshop and i'm sure they'll have the paintchips with the correct codes for the paint.
i have a limited edition 89 supra and i was woundering what the white paint code is.it is really faded(so i can't tell if it is pearl or not)..any ideas on what it would be?or if it says on the car somplace could someone let me know where.
