haha, yeah i have a full 2.25 or 2.5 (i forget) catback exhaust with just a muffler on my car, and it's pretty loud..

but she sure sounds evil...

if i go easy on the gas, it's close to stock, but im going to add a resonator once i redo the exhaust...

Looks like its for MKIV's.
You're right, it is for mkiv's. Is there anyway to get it to work on mkIII cars? It comes with 4" V-Band Clamp, 3-4" Adapter to mount to any 3" midpipe, and all mounting hardware. Full stainless steal and polished. Pretty good bargain for a complete package like that if you ask me though. :naughty:

I got a 2.5" custom exhaust put on my N/A, with a custom muffler. I also told them to add a resonator, and THAT is where the difference is at. Greatly affected the sound, not very loud yet deep and rumbly. I say add a resonator to the mix.

Also something to consider: Ceramic coating + exhaust heatwrap with clamps. I had an interesting finding after I ceramic coated the inside and ouside of my downpipe...it was quieter. After wrapping the downpipe with exhaust heat wrap, it was practically silent. I discovered that ceramic coating of a pipe alters its resonant frequency so it requires more energy to make the pipe resonate noise. Combine inner/outer ceramic coating of pipe with exhaust heatwrap on the outside and you will drastically reduce noise and droning without sacrificing flow :naughty: . Get the quietest straight-thru design muffler you can find and you now have the best of both worlds performance and ear comfort :).
