Ok, So I've got 2jzgte, with Dr. Tweeks wiring, I'm kinda pissed right now so bare with me.
I've got less that 10k miles on this swap, Aristo 2j BTW. Anyways, Drove to the park tonight went spent some time walkin around, then came back like 2 hours later and bam fuel pump doesn't even turn on, engine will crank over and everything. WTF GODDAMNIT WALBROS ARENT SUPPOSED TO FUCKING DIE LIKE THIS!!!! FUCK I'VE got a wedding to get to tommorrow. How is this possible!!!
BTW its a legit Walbro, I bought it from Aaron @ DM.

Do these things go out like this? Cause if they do, I feel like I should have bought the TT pump that jose wanted to sell me.

FUCK ME!!!!

Did you go through all the steps to verify that the pump is indeed malfunctioning, or simply the wiring have been compromised?

Well, I'm pissed right now so, no, can I get a link to the steps? I hate being one to jump the gun, but it doesn't make sense that it runs and then doesnt.

Some Walbros die an early death, while other Walbros last nearly forever. How do you know it's the fuel pump?

Cranks and you can hear when the Walbros are on, they have a definite sound to them.

Relax.

Breathe.

You need to cut to the chase and determine for sure that it is the pump. If it is, look on the bright side, it isn't too hard of a fix and you can get to your wedding tomorrow. If not then the bright side would be that your walbro is good and you don't have to buy another.

Just take some time to check and test it directly, if it works then you need to check power delivery, grounding, fuses, things like that.

12v mod??

The way Dr. Tweek did his wiring it by passes the old relay and uses 12v, so ya in a way its the 12v mod.

Well looks like I'm gonna get it towed to my place, and take my brothers car...Then I get to come back and check it....still pissed about this. I hope I don't have to buy another pump, and I don't even know if I want to buy another Walbro after this if it is the pump.

Jump +B and FP in the diagnostic block with the ignition on. That should power the fuel pump. Listen for it.

Edit: wait... I forgot you're 2jz. Ugh. Are you using 7M electronics?

umm, this very same thing happened to me. after a surf session i went to warm up my car while i was changing. suddenly it just died out of nowhere.
after going through the system and looking on other forums, i figure out that it was the ecu its self that was the problem.

i solved the problem by doing a 12 volt mod. i decided to just do it without a relay also.

pm me if you have any other questions.

7m NA harness wired into a 2jz aristo harness. So technically no. Dr. Tweak Wired it to where the pump was 12 volt without the 12v mod.

Ok so we either think there is a problem with the FPR as we checked the pump and it is fine, my father checked the power to the FPR, and its not getting 12v he said. Basically if we take a wire from the battery to the FPR any of the wires, B+/FP/FPR then it turns on the pump and makes it run all the time, even when the car is in the off position. Is there anyway I can bypass this? The FPR has to get power when in the key is turned to the on position to turn on the pump, and it doesn't get anything when the key is ON.

Also all the wiring is checking out in the back of the car...so from the FPR up front has a good connection to everything in the back.
