I'm thinking of going with a temporary set up for a summer or two with a stock 1jz, either using the 7M W58 with the mkiv W58-JZ bellhousing, or using the mkiv W58 with bellhousing.

I don't know everything I need to know to put the mkiv tranny into the car with a 1jz swap. Can anyone help me with this? I've searched here using different terms but everyone uses the R154. I want to use this tranny though because I've read it can do around 400rwhp safely. with some room for wiggle. As for the 7M W58 I heard 300, maybe 350 max. Realistically if I go this route it will be 2-3 summers before I put in an R154 so I want the mkiv tranny so I can have a little more room for power.

I just wanted to mention from earlier on in the thread I know I would need:
mk4, SC, or IS bellhousing
clutch fork
throwout bearing
When using the 7M W58, but I still need to know about using the mkiv one.
