W58 Mount Differences?

If you use the wrong year mount on a MK3 W58, will it position the transmission in a different location?

My W58 pressed really far back against the hole, I think im using a pre 89 mount on a post 89 transmission.

no difference. but, some of the W58's from other vehicles have the shifter placed farther back.
BTW, check your messages.

Yeah the difference is between the tranny's not the year for the mount.

did you know you can mount the tranny mount back words and still bolt up but will sit back to far


there all the same though out all the years i think that is your issue
