Will the w58 FW bolt on to a 1jz. or is it a 6 bolt pattern?

Depends which flywheel. I believe there are 2, 7m and 2jzGE. Fo sure the 2j Ge will fit, I had it on one my cars a while back.

The cost for the professional drill and tap will cost more then just buying the right flyweel.

Anyways, do you want to put 500whp on drilled flywheel that could explode and take off your legs?

Ok so let me get this straight. to get a 2jzge flywheel to work with an r154tranny w/ 1jz bellhousing you just need to tap extra holes so the 7m PP will bolt on is this correct? thats all to it?

I dont want to be rude but Bro. stop posting.. forever... you make alot of innacurate comments in between getting banned on every site. honestly man I never seen you make one accurate/helpful comment ever, I am fully aware of what can happen when redrilling a FW. however small holes for the PP will not make it any more likely to fail, neither will it cost as much as a new fucking flywheel. I have read alot of arhived posts on here, SF, and all the central Florida Boards that you happen to be on and you have been proven to be consitently wrong over and over matter of fact If anyone actually does the opposite of whatever you say, they will probably be better off.

Jeff, I would sit and wait for a flywheel deal to pop up, but it will be a bit of a challenge to drill it right.
I don't think it will fly out and chop your legs off. That's a bit extreme. But a slight variation on weight will cause vibrations. Maybe not so much that you can feel but in time it will do away with your bearings and crank walk will eventually turn your engine in.
Who ever does this needs to be extremely precise.

The truth hurts bro... If you don't want to listen to it, skip the post. I'm sorry dude, but drilling a flywheel is not a helpful solution when the CORRECT PART is widely available for pocket change. I am only wrong to the people that believe everything they read on the internet. If you actually work on a 1JZ, owned two at once, and installed 5 motors, what you learn with your hands and on the street ALOT different from alot of the stuff thats posted on alot of forums. Go ahead, think what you want. I'm going home in my 1JZ that has been on the road for 2 years now without a breakdown since I installed it.

You can use the 2jzge flywheel, but i read somewhere that it is a little thinner than the 1jz flywheel, but not sure and cant rem. where i read it, you can find lightened flywheels,or use stock if you look around a little that is my recommendation.

Ur fuckin stupid Ric, there isnt such a thing as widely available 1JZ parts for pocket change. You might feel that way cause you already have all the parts so when you see one pop up its like wow theres alot of those lol. None of these parts ever made it to the US, so 1 theyre rare as crap all imported stuff, and 2 everyone and there sister needs them for 1JZ manual swaps cause who the hell wants an auto except the people who realize theyre actually faster on the interstate lol. The dowel pins line up for the pressure plate, as ours are pull type there is no certain way they have to mount, so all you have to do is set it on the dowel pins and drill/tap the holes....tada. You can pick up 2JZGE flywheels for POCKET CHANGE, by that I mean fidanzas and UR lightweights for $25 like the one I just got on ebay. There is a point where its ghetto engineering and where its innovation. Just like nobody extends the harness anymore, where as that seemed like the proper way to do it, it is now looked down upon as ghetto because you have so many chances for wiring issues, now we just drill a hole in the firewall and pass it through there. So next time dont go throwing your opinions around, just straight facts man, these people need veteran info. 1JZ's are ghey neways 7M for life nukka lol.
