I am planning and sourcing parts to swap a W58 into my MK3.

I am unsure of what model W58/W55 transmission will work and its necessary configurations. I know that I will need the 7M/W58 bell housing. I am more concerned with the tail housing/ shifter housing.

I have access to an SC300 W58 and was wondering what modifications (if any) is necessary to successfully bolt this unit in place.

If there is significant mods needed for a clean install, how difficuly is it to source a MK3 W58/shifter and shifter housing?

Does the IS300 or SC300 shifter housing work? are they too long too short? etc?

Any information you may provide would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the SC shifter housing is much too long to work in the Supra.

You'll need a W58 transmission - you should be able to find one from any N/A Supra with little to no difficulty. Just get the correct one and be done with it ;) They aren't expensive.

Over a year ago I purchased a w58 from tubbie here on the forum...$200 shipped from GA to Philly PA....it's been running strong sense! W58's are a dime a dozen here on the forum!
