That is why you must stay 7M-GE. If you want to go turbo, the first purchase is a DD.

Right because NAs never have problems...

*goes to look at the NA section with just as many problem/help threads as the GTE section*

I have a further option. Keep the car as is and save money to buy a nice stock turbo, ...have two cars. Or if you cant see yourself having two, save for the turbo, buy the one you want and sell your NA after to recoup.

The worst thing AND the best thing I ever did was sell my NA for a turbo.

Now I do not have the income at the moment to do any of these right now but I was just wondering what you guys would do if you were in my shoes.

I say that not because I think an NA is infinitely reliable, but because doing a swap or NA-T is going to be very mechanically involved, and likely consume more time and money than he's expecting. His NA is reliable right now, and likely will stay that way for some time provided it isn't tampered with.

Keep it the way it is. Get a beater for dd, find a 7mgte, slowly build that motor and then do the swap. That is what im doing right now. I just bought my beater for $50:naughty: So now im ready to put bearings in the donor motor, all the seals while the motor is out because it is so much easier. NO rush involved. Well, i was rushing to find a beater.
