The bypass valve is a recirculation valve for the turbo. Maybe you will link to the page with that.

The line for the stock bypass valve goes under the intak manifold and I think those are the lines he's trying to figure out...

I thought so too, but then why did he bring up a VSV?

No idea...

I think we're starting to see the effects of so many people doing botch jobs on these cars, where most of the new owners have to try and put them back together so they work right and are missing half the parts.

Carter, if you can get pics or show on diagrams from the EPC we can help you better.

Yea its one of those deals where I got the car and was missing alot of the bolts up top. The guy that I did get it off of, was cool, but didn't start bagging the bolts until the intake manifold was off...

I did find where the hose goes, i do believe... The line came straight up from the vsv, past the runners and fuel rail.
sm_photo_missing.jpg

But now that i've found that... I've found three wires on the intake side that i have no clue where they go. The one is a white female connector, looks just like the one that hooks up to the coil pack, but its toward the back of the motor. The other is a grey female connector with 2 holes in it, around the same place, i have no idea where it goes...

The white one, has 3 wires coming to it, there red, yellow and black.

The grey one, has 2 wires coming to it, which are brown, yellow/red

And the other one is a redish brown, its a longer wire *same color has the vsv connectors*

This may not have told you guys another, but that's the best i can do, until i get a mini SD adaptor for the computer....

So just let me know... if you've got any other pictures of the intake side, and exhaust side... I maybe able to put everything back together from there...

ps. sorry for the long post

Also there's a T over by the EGR, that i haven't an idea where it goes...

Oh and before I forget, I need a picture of the water housing, there are three wires under the BVSV that where pulled out, And i don't wanna start the car until i kno everything is hooked up and ready to go.

These are the two plugs that i have no clue where they go... Cuz i don't really see anywhere they would connect at...

thanx for the pic whowouldfigga, that does really help... Tomorrow's a new day, and as long as i can get them two other plugs in, it should be up and running.

Oh and I agree, Nick's engine bay is clean

I was talking about the yellow with black wrapped together, and the orange next to it. Just to make sure.

People over the years have done many strange things to the cars. It could be left over from an aftermarket noise maker, aka alarm.

I see... well i tryed to start it up, just to see if it would crank over... nothin happened... These was a clicking noise comin from the intake manifold and inside it sounded like it was comin from the ecu (or relay) So... IDK...

Do you have the power wire on the starter, or the ground strap? I have seen that before. The ground strap will fit on the starter stud.

The brown and yellow-red (yellow-black on my 90) is for the EGR temp sensor. If your car is not a California model, it is left disconnected.

The other is probably the transmission speed sensor ( its should be red/black, black and yellow as well as a blue/yellow, four wire in total) connecting to a matching plug from the tranny speed sensor in the tail.

Long shot is it could be backup lights too, although it is not quite making sense. The backup lights are yellow and red/black wires on a 90, but there are two, not three wires. Do your backup lights work?

yea my lights and everything work... i figured i'd try and see if they atleast did work... And there is already a wire going back to the transmission... The guy never took the motor out, he just took everything off while the motor was in the car and had the head sent out to be checked and all that good stuff...

And also i found out that one of the wires that i didn't get a chance to post, went to the starter.

so its comin together, i just need to get a chance to go work on it again...
