Venom 550 injectors did I get screwed!!!??

Anyone using Venom 550 injectos? I just bought some off ebay but they appeared to be used but clean. The part number is the same as the stock ones and they appear to be the same thing. I called the guy and he told me that venom buys old injectors and rebuilds them and changes the jets on the inside and is able to get 550cc after flowtests. IS THIS TRUE OF THIS BRAND?? or did this guy take them out of his car and bought real 550's and is selling me his old ones? One thing that might support his alligations is one of the injectos is missing the screen filter perhaps they take them out for cleaning and this one sliped by without bein reinstalled??? I took the car for a ride dont seem that much different but that was without a pressure regulator and Lex installed HELP! -Eric

It is true, they are rebuilds on stock injectors. You wont notice a difference from a set of injectors :squint: you notice a difference from the increase in boost you are able to run with the available fuel.

Junk. Sell them and get R/C or be ready to burn up an engine.

I bought a set and had them flow tested. They were off by 15% of each other. They are trash. You get what you pay for.

A friend of mine found exactly the same thing.

For the record, they seemed to work just fine for me. With a 60 trim and 18-20psi and a walbor 255.

I lost a motor on the dyno to a lazy injector recently, no probs if they just stop working but when they do the funky flow thing it acts as a cutting torch in there!

you didnt get screwed, you got what you paid for.

get some RC's. no problems with mine thus far. they are considered to be of the best.
