ok i have been hovering here on SM since i have been back from vegas and havnt seen ANYTHING posted up about SILV this year!

so here is my thread i posted on SF...
Just got home. Very tired and making this short and sweet with as little spelling and punctuation errors as possible…


Caravan: All of us at Creative Car Audio and Motorsports and Danstoy all cruised out together Friday morning. Met up with Curtis aka MyKarisVicious and Mike aka Sidoze in Barstow. Half way to Vegas a CHP flys by all of us and pulls over mike in his top secret widebody mkiv. Mike had literally just put a big single in the night before so we were all worried what the outcome here would bring. Mike called me 5 mins later to say

“The cop pulled me over and asked to pop my hood. After he saw the big single he said,

” WOW that is fucking awesome! Ima just give u a fix it ticket for ur out of date registration but u better catch up with ur supra buddies down the road before they get upset u broke apart from their caravan.”

So mike got off easy and we all made it to the show and shine in time.

Show and Shine: a great turn out this year and unfortunately I was sooo beat after the 5+ hour drive that I went to my room and lay down for a bit. After a short nap went back down grabbed a 40 and a cigar and met up with a lot of old faces and some new ones including this years poker champ Kevin Lubitski aka MelloYelllo and Stu Hagen who has a hell of us setup (532RWHP) on his jade green mkiv using the existing stock twin setup. Some very nice cars including of course Ken Hendersons black beauty and John Nguyen’s Mk2 with a 2j swap and “V mount” IC setup was there as well.

Friday Night Drag Racing: the guys from the shop i work at decided to run their cars at the track that night. Ryan and Lisa Uchida have the white MKIV with every HKS goody made for the car. At 20psi and around 700RWHP Ryan squeezed a 13.5@121mph. not bad for first time ever racing. A nice smoke show from the line lock install a few weeks ago was fun to watch as well. Our buddy Dan with the Danstoy RHD Levin was running 12’s all night in his until he blew up his fuel pump. Some other crazy cars were there including a jet car which of course I snapped some pics of (ran 7.xx@227mph) also a burnout competition with some guy smokin a red and blue tire…

Saturday Morning SILV Drags: slept in and arrived at the track around 1pm. Not a large turnout this year as the others in the past for what reason im not sure. But some good passes none the less. Bradman decided to walk along the top of the stands and check every door to the box seats. He found one open… the Traffic Control room. So he invited a few of us up there and a small “Supra Box Party” ensued. Nothing better than a day at the track in a nice air conditioned room above the crowds half way down the track with a private bathroom as well.

Awards Presentation: after grubbin at the MGM buffet, i made $100 with only $1 at a slot machine in the MGM and then proceeded to the tropicana. the awards were held at the Tropicana this year. A special shout out went to Ken Henderson for bringing his car to the last 10 SILV events and every year DRIVING his car to each event as well. No to mention the same car too. Defiantly an accomplishment and something I would assume will not be duplicated anytime soon. Ken swept the awards with best inter, motor and modified exter! i won best engine and modified exterior.



Sunday morning: wouldn’t be a true SILV without some last minute repairs in the Luxor parking lot. A fellow MKIV owner who’s license plate was “HNDS ON” had a water pump issue he had been working on throughout the night and finally resolved Sunday afternoon. As well as another MKIV member with a bad power steering leak. Of course don’t count out the MKIII people. There were more than a handful doing some last minute repairs before shoving off. Including Ziggy who was doing a full TURBOP SWAP!! Hahahah! I feel for them all. It was just last year a few socal guys and I were changing out my differential in the Luxor parking lot after I grenaded it at the drags last year.


Drive home: just got home and unfortunately drove by a fatal crash on the 15 by Baker. Seems two cars collided in a way that left one car on one side of the freeway charred to a crisp and the other on our side of the freeway in the middle lane smashed to pieces with its luggage and contents spread all over the road and sadly saw the deceased driver hunched over the steering wheel in his car as we drove by. Very sad thing to see.

Good meet and once again thanx to all the coordinators and a big thanx to Keith Hart once again for another great year and for more to come!





PS thanx to those who went to Vegas and voted for my car. i wasnt thinking i woudl end up with TWO trophies.

After a small mix up in the tallys for the mk3's it was confirmed today that the BEST MOTOR award that went to Noel was actually intended for me and that the BEST INTERIOR award that i got was intended for Noel. so the awards stand as so now...
