So, what does your car run exactly? I'm just curious...

14's like every other Supra.

Duane I'm impressed, that is a no BS job you did on that turbo. So did the Compressor cover come loose and cause that or the wheel?

I'm investigating that...I was told it was the shaft of the wheel being smaller for the size of the turbo but I never had problems before.

At least I got 1 good pass in :biglaugh: Back to the dyno this week and more testing soon! I just hope the weather cooperates for the Friday I want to go before Vegas.

compressor cover came unglued... it's an XS power turbo with a polished compressor housing....

LOL

We are talking about my turbo, not your stuff. I would only put that stuff on an N/A conversion turbo wanna be MKIV. ;)

lol... like a brand new TT shortblock, built NA head, and name brand parts? That type thing?

On a serious note, the shaft does look fairly small for a turbo that size. still under warranty?

What does the registration say? ;)

Warranty? hahahahaha hell no, I was just boosting along and it blew apart..how do you suggest I explain that? I am going to keep it attached to my wall with my time slip. Funny thing is, I was taking it easy for the first couple of passes. :biglaugh:

If it breaks, upgrade some. :icon_bigg I think this new turbo will be better suited for my goals anyway.

It says cheap insurance.....

I tend to upgrade before it breaks.... I tend to get bored if there is nothing to work on.... lol. Although, I've been trying pretty hard to break this GE before doing the swap... it won't seem to happen. I figured spraying 6-7 bottles through it with 175 jetting would do it.. It hasn't seemed to care.(the auto trans doesn't really appreciate it though.) I'll probably up the jets to 200 this week and see if it likes that. Hell, I may have a 12 second NA on my hands haha

I know those turbos have smaller shafts than most of the newer stuff, maybe that bigger wheel was to much. The crack around the compressor cover would lead me to believe that the wheel came off or got very lose first.

Looks like the new turbo suits the package well.

I’m sure the track is getting damp early already as it seems to be getting cool and damp fast at night.

Have fun in Vegas every one.

Jeremy

P.s. Jeff any update?

Anti size on the pistons? Dose that keep 1 and 6 alive?

LOL looks good Jeff, are those the off the shelf Titan (JE) pistions or custom to your specs?

Jeremy

They are the JE's that Titan sells, with coated pistons and large wrist pins. The coating does not help 1 and 6 stay alive, I have tried it already LOL!:biglaugh:

I had this motor built with Carrillo Rods, Coated Bearings, Billet Mains, ARP Main Studs, and L19 Head Studs. Ported the head with 1mil Over sized valves and springs and retainers. All I got to say is you boys ready to rumble?

So has anyone noticed or said any thing about duanes chute or the new cage?

Cage is only temporary and is why I had it in front of the dash as I'm changing interior next year. (that's the plan anyway) lol

He likes the accessories, kind of like the clip on ear rings and pearl necklaces he wears when his wife is at work.

Everyone knows his car is not fast enough to actually require all that stuff. :naughty:

He has the 2jz version of Windows Vista, it keeps giving him the blue screen of smoke from cylinders 1 and 6 :biglaugh:. I believe it was narrowed down to a component not cooperating with his operating system :sarcasm:.
