Just wondering how I go about changing my valve stem seals on my 91 7MGTE?

I have read the book and tsrm but I am kind of confused as to what tool i need.

Also, I have my head off. I just had it machined and then they washed it for me. Does that ruin my valve seals that are already in there?

Depends what they washed it in. If you have the head off, replace them (sounds like they might be OEM, which I can bet on them being worn out or completely desintegrated). Removing the valve springs and putting them back in is going to be the toughest part, if you don't think you can do it have the machine shop do it...

well the headgasket HAS been replaced in the past! and the head has been machined before. this is the last time it can be machined according to the machinist... as it is getting shorter and shorter.

i just finished torquing down my cam bearing caps etc and im thinking i should probably do the valve seals. I would like to do them myself but I dont know which tool to use. A normal valve spring compressor tool doesnt seem to work for this application!

Trying to save as much money as possible.
