Well guys i was wondering is there any difference between the internal valveing between the two generations of 1JZ's cause the old ones had the valve cover vent into the y-pipe and the newer one into the Turbo-a pipe, that we know, but was there anything internaly too, i mean anything else inside the valve covers that made them any different?

I think you're thinking too much into this.. I didnt notice any difference between all three sets of valve covers I had internally. my mechanic took them apart IIRC for other reasons. my motor is a 2nd gen TTR motor..

only differences were the turbo a pipe change and a different one way valve on the intake side.. thats the only change thats documented AFAIK and the only one I've seen.

The stock 1-way bleeder valve on the intake cam cover is known to fail. The recommended replacement is to use 2JZ PCV valve.
