valve cover hex bolts?

Torque rating on those bolts is 2ft/lbs, yes TWO. They need very little torque, and should seal perfectly with new grommets (weird washer things) and silicone on the rubber VC gasket.

I was really careful with mine when I installed them, and I have no leaks, and the new hex bolts haven't lost any torque.

22in/lbs is the spec. I put a stud/nut combo for the rears, as one of the holes in my new head was less than ideal. With the hose coming out of the back of the head it is easy to cross thread the rear holes on the exhaust side cover if you aren't careful.

I use blue loctite on these bolts. Torque them to 22in-lbs and they will not come out until you put a wrench on them.

If you overtighten them you can break the cam cover lip, or strip the threads in the head. Neither is desirable.
