Vacuum problem

I have my head off and now is a good time to delete/cap a bunch of unnecessary vacuum stuff. I don't mind if my engine light is on I just want to clean my engine bay up. Let me know your input but as far as I know the only things that need vacuum are my cruise and fuel regulator. Anything else that is totally needed? EGR will be deleted, Cruise is kept for comfort.

Also, what the hell is the valve on the lower intake plenum? Sits in the "U" of the intake. Seems to be useless. Maybe a choke or emissions something?

I hate this year car because the engineers were convinced that by year 2000 we would all be flying so everything is overcomplicated.

Nope, nothing on these cars is over complicated. Most of the stuff on the intake side you should really keep. Such as the fresh valve VSV for hot starts and the VSV for the EGR system, the EGR system itself.

Cleaning up the engine bay doesn't always mean that's what is best for the engine.

Well everything is getting deleted minus cruise, regulator, and something else I can't remeber atm. Power steering is getting looped and the pump is getting deleted same with the AC system. Sick of looking at a tangled mess of everything under my hood. Head is getting picked up tonight.

There are ways of cleaning up the engine bay without removing everything.
