Hey everybody, here's a quick question from a noob.

So I was pressure testing my intake looking for boost leaks on my 7mgte and noticed this little guy (pictured here http://www.flickr.com/photos/25911249@N08/3549564478/ ). A small metal nipple on the underside of the black accordian pipe leading into the turbo. I've done some googleing and checked a couple online manuals but can't find this line. What does it connect to?

Thanks everyone

It runs to a port on the back of your power steering motor. Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but I think it is on the nipple closest to the firewall. There are 2 nipples down on the steering motor.

Yeah, it's a two-port vacuum valve, the idle-up valve for the PS unit I think is what it's called. One line connects on the bottom of the accordion, the other runs to a hardline across the front of the engine and then to the vacuum piping underneath the intake. Don't believe that it really matters which port you use for the lines.

I had the same question last week. :icon_razz
