Picture on page 2
Its right between wheres its labeled as the Fuel Pressure Regulator and the Brake Proportioning valve on the intake manifold. It has what it looks like a vacuum line comign from it, and i was wondering if it is necessary to have the line or could i cap both ends off?
Thanks In advance
-Thomas

so you want to... remove the vacuum line from your vacuum/boost referencing fuel pressure regulator?
noo, its on the intake manifold, right between the fpr and bpv. It the thign that looks lie ka nut with the extra thing for the vacuum line. or is it a coolant line? iunno but its on the intake mani.

yes, the line above the FPR vacuum line goes to the EGR actuator. if you have done away with the EGR system then you simply cap off that port on the throttle body.

also that picture is a little misleading. the brake proportioning valve is no where near those vacuum lines. its mounted to the side of the engine bay under the brake master cylinder.

That's a vacuum source, it pulls on your power steering pump and also on the back side of the FPR VSV.

pssh. cryoslash youve got to use some more descriptive words next time around.

why do you want to remove it?

to answer your question simply, no you can not remove it.

you have to provide vacuum to certain engine components. unless you do that, you cant remove that fitting.

Are you planning on doing a FFIM mod? ;) The EGR actually keeps you EGT's lower, but it won't hurt too much to remove it, just keep an eye on your EGT's.

Calm down guys, damn....

you can take it off and plug it if you want. then feed vac off the back of the manifold. you would have to redo the entire vac line setup but it could be done.
why you would want to take it off im not sure, but be prepared for it to give up a fight. you'd seriously think they welded it on.

heh finally someone sees the only possibility for removing it. Yep it will be a FFIM, i am just goign to have to move all those lines and the vacuum to perhaps under the original location. I figured since i have a welder coming to me now, and an extra intake manifold i should give it a try. i would need a alternator drop down bracket though, you wouldn't by chance know of anyone who makes them would you (i heard Ron stopped producing things all together)
Thanks,
